Yoink the Words

OnSong can import & view a whole lotta file formats, but honestly? It's happiest with text-based chord charts—y'know, the ones where you can transpose chords, make the text look pretty, & project lyrics like you're basically a rockstar. Converting your ancient files? Yeah… that's gonna be a thing. But don't worry—OnSong's got some tools to make the pain slightly less excruciating.

Adobe PDF

So you've got PDFs collecting digital dust from your paper binder days. Classic. Adobe PDF is totes great for nailing that printed-page look & works everywhere (Mac, Windows, your grandma's laptop, whatever). Portable as heck.

Images

You can yeet photos & other stuff into OnSong using JPEG, PNG, & TIFF formats. They're basically just pictures that show up exactly as you threw 'em in—but if you're feelin' fancy & they're from a scanner, we might be able to OCR some text outta there. No promises tho.

Word Processing Files

OnSong can peek at a buncha word processing files like Microsoft Word, Apple Pages, & the Rich Text Format (RTF). They'll display as-is (lookin' janky & all), but usually we can wrestle 'em into actual text-based chord charts if you ask nicely.
